offering positive avenues of action, including the annual Walk for
Hunger.

Council of Social Concern was founded in 1969 by a group of local
volunteers who were concerned about the needs of low income and minority
families living in Woburn, Massachusetts. Over the years, we have
grown in response to the needs of local residents of all ages and ethnic
backgrounds. We currently assisting over 2,700 individuals a year,
with the support of over 350 volunteers and a budget of $1.5
million.
