The Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center was established in 1985 and successfully serves those in need in the communities of Stonington, CT., North Stonington, CT. and Westerly, R.I. It also serves as a center for the Pawcatuck area senior community.

Project Bread

Project Bread is dedicated to alleviating, preventing and  ending hunger in Massachusetts.   Our goals are to make emergency food accessible to people who would not otherwise have adequate food; to increase public awareness and understanding of hunger; to effect public policies to prevent hunger in our midst; and to empower people by offering positive avenues of action, including the annual Walk for Hunger.

 

Woburn Council for Social Concern

Woburn Council of Social Concern was founded in 1969 by a group of local volunteers who were concerned about the needs of low income and minority families living in Woburn, Massachusetts.  Over the years, we have grown in response to the needs of local residents of all ages and ethnic backgrounds.  We currently assisting over 2,700 individuals a year, with the support of over 350 volunteers and a budget of  $1.5 million.

United Way of Mass Bay

The United Way of Massachusetts Bay is a community-focused non-profit organization dedicated to improving peoples’ lives in the 80 immediate cities and towns throughout the Greater Boston region. We diligently aggregate volunteer and monetary resources to positively impact the lives of children, youth, seniors, and others in need with approximately 1.8 million services annually.

New Bedford United Way
When you make an unrestricted gift to the United Way, it will be used in your community. Greater Seacoast United Way (Portsmouth, NH)
The United Way of the Greater Seacoast(UWGS) is a non profit, community-based organization governed and operated by volunteers from throughout Strafford County and the greater Seacoast area.  Its territory is made up of 45 communities -- including Dover, Exeter, Farmington, Portsmouth, Rochester, Seabrook, Somersworth and
Kittery and Eliot, Maine.

 

Manadnock Regional United Way (Keene)

The Monadnock United Way is a local, autonomous and totally independent organization governed by a 36-member local Board of Volunteer Directors. The Monadnock United Way is not a chapter of the United Way of America and is in no way accountable to the national organization. Our accountability is to our local volunteers and donors. Decisions on which programs to fund and all other operating and policy decisions are made by local volunteers.

United Way of Lamoille County

Every time you buy an item, a percentage of the sales price is automatically forwarded to United Way of Lake County. The percentage donated varies from vendor to vendor, but they never increase the price you would normally pay for their products.

 

Rhode Island Parent Info Center

A group of parents and some professionals met with the goal of improving education for children with disabilities. As a result, they believed that a parent training and information center should be formed. They believed that if parents were informed and educated, they could help their children reach their full potential. In that way, parents could take an active role in the educational life of their children.
