Volunteering
in our communities helps to make them a better place in which to live for
everyone. Neighbors helping neighbors makes our neighborhoods more caring
and nurturing. Serve feels that this behavior should be encouraged and
rewarded. We feel that providing high quality foods at a savings of 40%
or more provides both an incentive and a reward.
Serve New England is one of
the best “win-win” situations in New England! Our goal is to make this
program available to as many people as we possibly can. We are able to
offer our food at such a big discount because of the huge volume we
purchase each month. The more people we have, the more food we order, the
better our food prices will be. We like to think that Serve New England
is the smart alternative to food buying!
Currently, Serve has 13 warehouses and over 350 chapters throughout New
England. Each chapter is run by volunteers. In fact, Serve has only 5
paid employees! Our monthly newspaper includes information on healthy
eating, recipes, and food tips, which helps to educate and inform our
customers.
